Seven Commitments. One Standout Year for JAGA.

As we pass the halfway point of the school year, JAGA is proud to announce seven university commitments for the 2025–26 academic year, reinforcing another strong season of college placements across NCAA and NAIA programs.

This year’s class is highlighted by two commitments to Top 20 NCAA programs, a major milestone for JAGA and a clear signal of our continued growth on the global college golf stage. Teerawut Boonseeor (JJ) has committed to Texas Tech University, ranked 16th nationally last season, while Louis Mahakan will join the University of New Mexico, ranked 18th. These placements represent a significant step forward as JAGA continues to place student athletes into some of the most competitive programs in college golf.

Alongside these elite commitments, JAGA athletes will continue their academic and athletic careers at a range of strong institutions across Division I and NAIA levels:

  • Teerawut Boonseeor (JJ) – Texas Tech University

  • Noemie Chetzroni – Cameron University

  • Than Bao Nghi (Maia) – Angelo State University

  • Louis Mahakan – University of New Mexico

  • Melinda Hsu – University of South Carolina, Beaufort

  • Ewen Farquhar – Furman University

  • Nguyen Vu Hoang Anh (Chip) – Lindsey Wilson University

Each commitment reflects years of preparation, balancing elite golf development, academics, and competition, while navigating the demands of the college recruitment process.

With half the year still ahead, these seven commitments set a strong foundation for what is shaping up to be another standout year for JAGA.

JAGA Expands Its Global Footprint with Two New Campuses

JAGA’s international growth continues with two major campus openings announced in South Africa and Portugal, marking an exciting next phase in our global development pathway.

South Africa

JAGA South Africa is set to open in the first quarter of 2026, anchored by a JAGA International Training Center and full campus at the iconic Legend Golf & Safari. This will be JAGA’s first campus on the African continent and represents a significant milestone in the academy’s global expansion.

South Africa offers one of the strongest golf cultures in the world, with depth across junior, amateur, and professional levels.

The opening at Legend Golf & Safari will not only provide elite training opportunities for student athletes, but also serve as a gateway for future JAGA International Training Centers and campuses throughout the region. We are excited by the long term potential in South Africa and inspired by the level of golf talent already present across the country.

Portugal

JAGA is also proud to announce a new partnership in Europe with Edge Golf College in Portugal, based at Troia Golf, just outside Lisbon. Edge Golf College has been running a program similar in philosophy to JAGA, working with university aged students while offering University of Lancashire classes and academic pathways.

Through this partnership, a JAGA campus will open alongside Edge Golf College’s existing university program, creating a seamless pathway from secondary to post secondary education. In addition, Edge Golf College’s academic offerings will be made available to post secondary students across JAGA campuses worldwide.

The Portugal campus is slated to open in September 2026, and we are excited about the opportunities this partnership creates for students seeking a European based golf and education pathway.

Together, these two campuses strengthen JAGA’s global network and reinforce our commitment to providing world class golf development and education opportunities across multiple continents.

Strong Run of Results from JAGA India’s Young Talent

JAGA India continues to see excellent momentum, particularly among our younger student athletes, with a series of strong performances across recent national events.

At the Greens to Glory #2 tournament, Devyani Dhull and Avni Atreya both finished runner up in competitive fields, showing consistency and composure against top junior talent. Their results highlight the steady development coming through the JAGA India program.

Drona S Dhull added to the success by winning the NCR Cup, extending an impressive run of form that includes three first place finishes in his last four tournaments dating back to November.

These performances reflect the growing depth of JAGA India and point to a very promising future as our younger athletes continue to gain confidence and competitive experience.

Lubanzi Tselane Steps Up at the South African U19 Inter Provincial

Lubanzi Tselane delivered a strong performance at the South African U19 Inter Provincial Cup Golf Championship, representing the North West Province in one of the country’s most competitive junior events.

Competing in the U19 division at just 16 years old, Lubanzi was facing older and more physically mature players, yet consistently held his own throughout the tournament. He finished 11th individually, an impressive result given the depth and quality of the field.

Lubanzi’s performance contributed to a strong overall showing for the North West Province, who finished tied for second place in the A Section of the championship. The result highlights both his individual growth and his ability to perform in a team environment at a high level.

Stepping into an older age category and producing results against top provincial competition, Lubanzi’s performance underscores his continued development and growing presence on the international junior golf stage.

Jayawardana Dornan Delivers on the International Stage for Indonesia

Jayawardana Dornan produced an outstanding run of performances while representing the Indonesian National Team, playing a key role in multiple podium finishes at two major international championships.

At the Asian Youth Games, Jaya delivered one of the strongest performances of the tournament, finishing third in the individual championship after rounds of 69, 70, and 68.

His consistency helped propel Indonesia to a third place finish in the team competition, earning two bronze medals on the continental stage.

Jaya continued his excellent form at the Southeast Asian Amateur Team Championship, where his second place finish in the individual standings proved crucial to Team Indonesia’s overall victory. He posted rounds of 74, 71, 73, and 70, finishing just two shots behind the individual champion.

Competing against the top amateur players in the region, Jaya’s performances highlighted his ability to deliver under pressure and contribute in a team environment. His success at both events reflects the strength of his development and his readiness to perform at the highest levels of international amateur golf.

JAGA Canada Students Head to Thailand for Winter Training

Three JAGA Canada students are in Thailand for the next few weeks, training alongside JAGA Thailand students and staff as part of the second year of the Canada to Thailand exchange.

Alicia Paquette, Mathys Casabon, and Antoine Brunet made the trip to maximize training and playing time during the Canadian winter, taking advantage of daily warm weather practice, championship level courses, and full immersion in the JAGA environment.

During their stay, the athletes will join regular training, on course play, and fitness programs, gaining international exposure and different coaching perspectives at a key point in the season. Now in its second year, the exchange continues to help JAGA students stay competitive year round and benefit from JAGA’s global network.

JAGA Coaches Summit Brings Global Team Together

The annual JAGA Coaches Summit took place from January 21 to 23, 2026, bringing together coaches and managers from across the JAGA network, both in person and virtually. The summit remains a key opportunity for collaboration, reflection, and continued development of how JAGA supports student training and performance.

Across the three days, coaches exchanged ideas, shared best practices, and provided direct input on The JAGA-Way as it continues to evolve. The discussions focused on refining training structures, aligning performance standards, and ensuring that student development remains consistent across all campuses worldwide.

The summit is especially valuable for new and upcoming campuses, providing a deep dive into The JAGA-Way and ensuring teams are aligned and ready to hit the ground running when their campuses officially open.
