Honouring a True JAGA Legend: General Abdullah Al-Sayed Al-Hashemi
At the heart of this year’s JAGA Graduation Ceremony was a moment that will forever be etched in our academy’s history—the presentation of our first-ever Honorary JAGA Diploma and the official recognition of General Abdullah Al-Sayed Al-Hashemi as the inaugural JAGA Legend.
This new distinction is reserved for individuals who go above and beyond in supporting JAGA, helping us grow into new markets and expand our mission of developing student-athletes around the world. General Al-Hashemi has been instrumental in helping JAGA enter the UAE, playing a key role in establishing our presence and paving the way for future generations of golfers in the region.
His presence at the graduation was more than ceremonial. In his speech to the Class of 2025, General Al-Hashemi delivered heartfelt wisdom about teamwork, resilience, and leadership. He reminded our students that while golf is often viewed as an individual sport, the real success lies in the strength of the community behind you—coaches, teachers, teammates, and family. He spoke about how the JAGA environment mirrors real life: even when you don’t think you need help, the people around you step in to lift you up.
“You have built something that lasts beyond the course. A culture of support, discipline, honesty and unity. These are values that carry you wherever you go. So keep in mind as a graduate, and take your next step whether it’s golf, academics or life, remember that no matter how far you go, you will always be a part of something bigger.”
His words deeply resonated with the graduates and attendees alike, reinforcing the values we strive to instill in every JAGA student—humility, community, and purpose.
We are honoured to have General Al-Hashemi as part of the JAGA family, and prouder still to name him our first JAGA Legend.
JAGA UAE: A Triumphant Debut: The First-Ever JAGA International Amateur Open in Al-Ain
From May 23–25, the Junior Asian Golf Academy proudly hosted the inaugural JAGA International Amateur Open at the stunning Al-Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club—marking the beginning of a bold new era for junior golf in the Middle East.
The event was a resounding success, showcasing not only the talent of young golfers from across the region, but also the incredible potential of JAGA UAE, our newest campus located in the heart of Al-Ain.
The weekend belonged to Rayan Ahmed, who captured the boys’ division title with a phenomenal -7 score, delivering a masterclass in consistency and control. In the girls’ division, Ananyaa Sood rose to the occasion, finishing with an impressive -5, proving she’s one to watch on the regional and international stage.
The tournament provided the perfect stage to unveil JAGA UAE’s world-class program, blending elite golf training with academic excellence in a unique and inspiring setting. It also marked a historic moment for JAGA as we expand our reach and community into the UAE.
With the success of the JAGA International Amateur Open, the message is clear: JAGA UAE is here—and it’s only just getting started.
JAGA Canada: Milan Abrieu Commits to Odessa College
AGA Canada’s Milan Abrieu is officially college-bound! The talented Canadian golfer has committed to Odessa College, a respected U.S. junior college known for producing high-level athletes who often make the leap to NCAA programs. For Milan, this is more than just the next step—it’s the perfect opportunity to continue growing both as a golfer and as a person.
Originally from Canada, Milan showed exceptional dedication to his development by spending three months at the JAGA Thailand campus during the harsh Canadian winter. Immersed in year-round training and surrounded by elite competition, Milan made the most of every opportunity. His time in Thailand was marked by multiple top-5 and top-3 tournament finishes, consistent improvement, and a deepening of his understanding of the game.
Though he was unable to attend the recent JAGA Graduation Ceremony, Milan’s commitment to excellence and his contributions to the JAGA community were felt across campuses. His journey reflects the true spirit of the JAGA-Way—resilience, adaptability, and the pursuit of personal and athletic growth, wherever the path may lead.
Odessa College will be a new challenge, but one Milan is well-prepared for. It offers the competitive environment and academic support that will help him hone his skills, gain exposure, and prepare for a potential transition to NCAA golf.
JAGA India: Get Ready for JAGA India’s Game-Changing Summer Camps at ITC Gurugram
This summer, JAGA India is proud to host its most comprehensive golf development experience yet at ITC Gurugram. Designed for junior golfers looking to take their game to the next level, the JAGA Summer Camps offer more than just practice—they deliver a complete introduction to The JAGA-Way.
At the core of the camp is JAGA-Way Testing, a diagnostic approach that helps identify each athlete’s strengths and areas for improvement. From there, personalized training plans are built to ensure every golfer is working on the right things at the right time. This structured, tailored approach is what sets JAGA apart.
Athletes will also benefit from a holistic environment. Every meal served during camp is designed by JAGA India's dedicated nutritionist, teaching players how to fuel their bodies for performance and recovery.
We’re also excited to announce that JAGA’s Director of Golf, Alan Murdoch, will be travelling to India to personally lead training sessions and mentor our students. With decades of elite coaching experience, Alan’s presence will bring added insight and international perspective to the camp.
